Boanerges Aleman-Meza is a PhD Student in Computer Science at the University of Georgia. He received an MAMS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Georgia in 2001 and a BE in Computer Engineering in 1998 from the Chihuahua II Technological Institute, Mexico. His research interests are in databases and semantic technologies for search and analytics. He is also interested in national security applications that combine semantic annotation of documents with geospatial data. His recent paper on semantic analytics for social networks has been selected as runner-up for the best research paper award in the 15th International World Wide Web Conference, 2006. Aleman-Meza is recipient of a Fulbright/Conacyt Fellowship. He is student member of the ACM and IEEE Computer Society.
