Short Biography

Dr Carlo Torniai works at Multimedia Integration and Communication Center, University of Florence, Italy. After he graduated in Telecommunication Engineering at University of Florence in 1998 he worked as system administrator and internet engineer in industries. In 2002 he went back at the University of Florence for the start-up of Multimedia Integration and Communication Center. He earned a Master in Internet Engineering in 2003 and a PhD in Computer Science in 2007. He is interested in pattern recognition, automatic video annotation and semantic web applications related to multimedia content.
